東港迎王平安祭典是「三年一科」的祭典，也就是每三年舉辦一次，每次活動大約持續 8天7夜。
以最近一次（2024年）為例：

🕒 主要時程（重點活動）
- 9/28（首日）：請水（中午開始，晚上過火、入廟）
- 9/29～10/2：各區遶境（北區、南區、中區、農區）
- 10/3～10/4：王船法會（祭典高潮之一）
- 10/5（最終日）：送王（通常在凌晨進行燒王船）
⏰ 補充重點
- 祭典活動白天與晚上都有進行，尤其遶境常延續到深夜。
- 最重要的「燒王船」通常在最後一天凌晨，是整個祭典最震撼的時刻。
- 因為是三年一次，下一屆會落在 2027年（大致同樣在9～10月間）。

- Oct 3 – Oct 4: King Boat rituals (one of the main highlights of the festival)
- Oct 5 (Final Day): Sending off the King (the burning of the King Boat usually takes place in the early morning)

- The most spectacular event, the burning of the King Boat, happens in the early morning of the final day.
